2025

                                                                                October 2025

On Saturday 25th October 2025, FAB (Future Action Biggleswade) brought The Bigg Theatre to life with another vibrant "Think As You Shop" event, showcasing local/ethical/sustainable producers and retailers. Visitors explored a buzzing marketplace of independent producers and makers, including Saxon Gate Flowers, Gales Bees, Simply Bee Eco, CraftyFoxx4, Sharon Watercolours, Willow Tree Gin, JLB Collars and Accessories and Melanin Minds. Alongside them, FAB, Biggleswade Community Gardens and Biggleswade Community Group were on hand to share updates on their community work and ongoing campaigns. We thank Biggleswade Town Council for providing a grant that made the event possible, and look forward to bringing Think As You Shop back in 2026!

                                           November 2025

On Friday 28th November 2025, FAB (Future Action Biggleswade) teamed up with Biggleswade Good Neighbours, Biggleswade Community Gardens, Biggleswade Community Group and the Biggleswade Community Safety Group to bring some extra festive spirit to the town centre’s Christmas Lights Switch-On. Visitors to our shared stall were invited to get creative, crafting their own seasonal decorations using conkers — a simple, fun and eco-friendly activity. The evening was also a great chance for people to learn more about the work each group is doing to support, connect and brighten life in our community. A warm, lively night of lights, craft and conversation — the perfect start to the festive season.

                                                               September 2025

On Saturday 20th September we had a Fairtrade Fortnight stall. FAB had an excellent time at the St Andrew's Country Fayre. Martin, Rebecca and Neil were joined by Anna Chesnutt of the Co-op, and it was great to see Alan and Paula come along to the Fayre as well. We gave out 69 FAB flyers along with other literature and that probably means interactions with something around 200 people, given that we only gave one flyer to each group. Thanks to the Co-op's generosity with bananas and prizes.   Many thanks to all involved in the planning and at the event on the day.

                                                 June  2025

We were at the Biggleswade Carnival Duck Race on Sunday 8th June in the Dan Albone car park.

We were promoting sustainability and had a "how much litter is in the jar" competition with community litter picking events  taking place.  This was our response in aid of the "Great Big Green Week".
